Zolo Azania is a veteran of the Black Liberation Army from Gary, IN who was twice sentenced to death, and twice beat the case, to be released from prison back to Gary in 2017 after 35 years of wrongful incarceration. Since his release from prison, Zolo has been active in the community, organizing a reentry program and doing pro bono legal work for people in prison. He was a prolific jailhouse lawyer while incarcerated, and a mentor to many younger prisoners.
Zolo needs our help! His car is in the shop and the cost of repairs is much higher than he was prepared to handle. He needs to raise $1,100.00 by this Saturday in order to get his car returned to him! If you can spare it, please donate to help this movement veteran and beautiful human being keep his life together – without the car he will struggle to get to work, which will impact his ability to pay all of his bills! You can learn more about Zolo here, and donate by CashApp, Zelle, or Venmo: $ZoloAzania5, azaniazolo5@gmail.com.
