By Bro. Khalfani Malik Khaldun.
For the past 34 years i have been confined to the Indiana Department of Correction. The reality of being forced to grow up and survive in this abnormal existence. Has caused me to develop tough skin and to not where my emotions on my sleeves. For years I have studied what would be seen as a host of materials to incorporate skillsets to help me get through each day. As my fight for freedom and survival intensifies, I have had to come to terms with black history being everyday for me.
Every time I get up to begin my fight each day. I am making black history. For every complaint I file to oppose the inhumanity of these prisoncrats. I am making black history.
Every day I declare that i will be the voice of the voiceless prisoners inside these plantations. I am making black history.
Every time I speak up and out against white supremacy when it rears its ugly head. I am making black history.
When I share the life and story of all our comrades who have lost their live inside these prison walls. I am making black history.
Long live comrade George Jackson and all falling revolutionaries to this experience
Every day is black history for me.
