Malicious Intentions: A Report from Bro. Khalfani Malik Khaldun

Malicious Intentions

My name is Brother Khalfani Malik Khaldun. I am Indiana’s voice of the voiceless and political prisoner. I am currently still being held at the Westville Control Unit. I am sending this message out to my friends and team free Khalfani who remain concerned about me. This is being coined Malicious Intentions because I have been the subject of it lately.

As you know, I am in my recovery from being in the hospital sick and damaged by illness.

On May 5, 2023, I had a biopsy on my prostate in search of cancer. I however, was advised that I have no cancer. That was a big plus for me and my loved ones. During the course of all my trips to the hospital, I managed to build a good alliance with several medical personnel that cared for me. I was recently informed, that while I was in my hospital bed clearly in chronic pain some of the officers assigned to be security watch for the prison smiled in my face and played like they were concerned about my well-being. Yet, behind my back, they did not like the way I conversed with the nurses.

So, at every chance they had free time they complained to these women that they were being too nice to me. I won’t single anyone out for these actions because I have never disrespected anyone while in that hospital.

When these women wanted to feed me extra fruit or sandwiches they were told not to show me any special treatment. However, many of these women young and older still did what they have a practice of doing. That is being humane to a good man who just happen to be in prison.

One young lady went to grab me some apple sauce when she was stopped outside my room door and intimidated to not do that for me again. She entered my room scared and said, “I can’t do this anymore.”

These actions were malicious, and their intentions were motivated by what I believe is white male insecurities and racism. They feel like my being a prisoner, chained to a bed, do not deserve any respect from white female nurses.

I love and respect all women of all nationalities, and I will never surrender to such cowardice or be intimidated not to engage them women in some quality positive conversations that they enjoy and participate in mutually. I have not been inappropriate with any of the women at that hospital. By my actions alone I have earned the right to be handled and treated with the best of care. These officers job while there is to provide transport and security, not to engage in turning these nurses against me, or policing me on how I receive quality care and hopes for a speedy recovery.

So I can regain control of my life and build momentum for my campaign for freedom. Hopefully, once my disciplinary segregation time is up. I can transition out of this unit, to a general population at another prison with hopes of reestablishing my contact visited with my loved one, supporters, and friends. I have not had a physical contact visit with my family since covid 19 hit this country. I have never had a single conduct report at WCU. I have never started no disrespect with these officers. So the actions taken against me during my medical ups and downs I feel was uncalled for, especially when I have shown respect to the majority of them all.

I will have a new release coming called part two of the hospitalization interview. I hope you enjoy it as you did part one. All power to the people.
