Long-term Indiana political prisoner and New Afrikan revolutionary Brother Khalfani Malik Khaldun has been facing intense repression at Miami CF since mid-February 2022. He has been wrongfully charged with an assault for an incident on which he was defending himself, and found guilty in a blatantly corrupt disciplinary hearing process that has resulted in him being held in solitary confinement for close to two months and not having access to commissary. Since being in solitary on the Restricted Housing Unit (RHU), Khalfani has been experiencing serious physical and mental health issues that have not been appropriately addressed. Read more about all of that and hear Khalfani’s own testimony here.
In addition to all of this stemming from a wrongful guilty finding on a bogus conduct report through a corrupt disciplinary hearing process, Khalfani is not supposed to be held in solitary for extended periods of time to begin with due to the trauma he experienced while illegally held in solitary for 20 consecutive years earlier in his prison term.
Khalfani & IDOC Watch believe that all the repression and abuse he is experiencing at Miami CF currently is retaliation for his legal work in the interest of prisoners’ human rights and and his wrongful conviction gaining more attention. He recently won and settled two lawsuits addressing violations of his Constitutional rights, his wrongful conviction case has recently been picked up by the exoneration clinic at the Notre Dame School of Law, and last year he worked with the ACLU to reprimand the K-9 unit at Miami CF which was abusing prisoners by having dogs attack them for no valid reason.
Khalfani is supposed to be moved to New Castle CF, a lower level facility, as part the settlement of his lawsuits, but he is convinced that officials at Miami CF are determined to kill him before he is transferred, and make his death look like a suicide or natural death due to medical issues. He has been reporting that his food is being tampered with and possibly poisoned, in addition to the neglect of his serious medical issues he has been experiencing. Please listen to the audio below for his most recent testimony, and make calls and send emails on his behalf!

Mr. McQuay is being subjected to serious medical neglect and his food is being tampered with in retaliation for the legal work he has been doing in the interest of prisoners’ human rights and his wrongful conviction case being picked up by the exoneration clinic at Notre Dame University School of Law. Please see to it that Mr. McQuay is immediately transferred to New Castle CF, as per the terms of a recent lawsuit settlement, that his medical issues are correctly addressed, and that the tampering with his food cease immediately!”
